Join Pastor Bob and Lori on an unforgettable journey into the world of the Apostle Paul as Scripture comes to life in the cities where Paul preached, encouraged believers, and helped shape the early church. Together, we'll explore historic biblical and cultural sites, deepen our faith, build lasting friendships with our Central Community Church family, and create memories that will stay with us long after the journey ends.
Step into the heart of the ancient world as we explore the city where the Apostle Paul lived under house arrest and proclaimed the gospel.
Day 1: Begin your Roman adventure with a visit to the Vatican Museums, the Sistine Chapel, and St. Peter's Basilica before exploring the charming streets of Trastevere. Throughout the day, biblical teaching provides meaningful context while the afternoon offers free time to experience Rome's unforgettable culture and cuisine.
Day 2: Walk through the Colosseum, Roman Forum, and Palatine Hill before visiting the Mamertine Prison, where Paul was traditionally held. The afternoon continues at the Basilica of St. Paul Outside the Walls and Tre Fontane Abbey, connecting the story of Paul's ministry and martyrdom to the places where history unfolded.
Day 3: Our final morning in Rome takes us along the historic Appian Way and into the Roman Catacombs, where the faith of the early Church comes to life.
With a centrally located 4-star hotel as your home base and plenty of free time built into the schedule, you'll have opportunities to enjoy authentic Italian cuisine, explore charming neighborhoods like Trastevere, and discover Rome at your own pace
After our unforgettable time in Rome, we'll board the Sun Princess® for a Mediterranean cruise that blends biblical discovery, meaningful fellowship, and breathtaking destinations. Worship, devotional teaching, and time together at sea provide opportunities to reflect, recharge, and deepen relationships as we sail through some of the world's most historic waters.
Our included shore excursions take us to Naples, where we'll explore the remarkably preserved city of Pompeii and visit the nearby port of Pozzuoli, where Paul first arrived in Italy (Acts 28).
Later, we'll spend the day in Ephesus, one of the New Testament's most significant cities and a place Paul called home during several years of ministry, bringing Scripture to life as we walk its ancient streets.
The cruise also includes stops in Chania, Crete, and Mykonos, Greece. These port days are yours to enjoy however you'd like—relax on the beach, sample local cuisine, browse charming shops, or simply take in the beauty and culture of these iconic Mediterranean destinations.
Our journey concludes in Greece, where we'll continue following in Paul's footsteps through Corinth and Athens—two of the most influential cities in the story of the early Church.
Day 1: After disembarking the cruise, we'll travel to Ancient Corinth, where Paul lived and ministered for 18 months. We'll visit the ruins of the ancient city, the Corinth Canal, and Cenchreae, the harbor mentioned in Acts 18, before enjoying lunch together and continuing to Athens. The evening includes time to relax, explore the city, and enjoy dinner at our hotel.
Day 2: Our final full day takes us to the iconic Acropolis, Mars Hill (Areopagus)—where Paul delivered his famous sermon recorded in Acts 17—and the Ancient Agora, where the marketplace and civic life of ancient Athens unfolded. Throughout the day, biblical teaching brings these remarkable places to life, providing fresh perspective on Paul's ministry and the spread of the gospel.
With a luxurious 5-star hotel just steps from the Acropolis and free time to experience modern Athens, this final chapter of the journey provides the perfect opportunity to reflect on all you've experienced while enjoying one of the world's most remarkable cities.
